Southern Ontario businesses can apply for tariff relief funding

Businesses in southern Ontario affected by international trade disruptions can now apply for federal support.

The Regional Tariff Response Initiative offers up to one million dollars in non-repayable contributions for projects that improve productivity, open new markets, or strengthen supply chains. The program is part of a one-billion-dollar national fund designed to help sectors facing tariff pressures, including steel, automotive, and agri-business.

FedDev Ontario will host online sessions to provide details on eligibility and the application process on October 7 and 15 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Those interested in attending the virtual sessions can register at feddev-ontario.canada.ca/en.

Funding will remain available until the regional allocation is used up.
