The Home Hardware in Wingham celebrated its grand re-opening this weekend, following two years of renovations.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on Friday, while Saturday the store celebrated a BBQ with proceeds going to the Wingham Ironmen.
Manager Mitchell Pyke says there’s lots of new changes for customers.
"We re-did the basement and we have a massive lawn and garden section. We re-did all the flooring, we added longer and taller gondolas so they're bigger runs," he said. "Doubled the inventory in the whole store and improved the lighting throughout the store. We brought in Napoleon Barbeques, so we have the whole assortment of those and Traeger Barbeques and pellets."
Pyke said it was all worth it to see the finished product.
"All the sacrifices that were made by all the people here became a reality and it's good to see how good a shape the store is in," he said.
The store was purchased from the Stainton family by Melanie and Brad Pyke in 2023. The couple have also run the Kincardine store for over 20 years.
