A driver is facing charges after a single vehicle crash in Huron-Kinloss that saw police seize weapons from the vehicle involved.
According to South Bruce OPP, on September 25 just after 5:30 p.m., officers responded to a crash on Hwy. 21 and Concession 10 in the Township of Huron-Kinloss.
Police arrived and found one vehicle was involved. The driver, who was alone in the vehicle, was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
As officers began inspecting the car for damage, they noticed a number of illegal weapons in plain view. Police seized several batons, brass knuckles, pepper spray, handcuffs, and ammunition.
A 56-year-old from Huron-Kinloss has been charged with seven counts of unauthorized possession of a weapon and failure to comply with undertaking.
The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.
