A new four-storey mixed-use apartment building is planned for Palmerston, and residents are being encouraged to share their feedback. The development will include ground-floor retail space aimed at creating more local jobs, alongside new rental housing.
The town has launched the Palmerston Housing Needs Survey to help guide developers and municipal planning. The survey asks residents, employees, and employers about current living situations, rental preferences, and what amenities they would like to see in new apartments.
Input from the community will help determine the types of units needed, reasonable rent levels, and preferred features such as in-suite laundry, parking, or outdoor space. Respondents can also indicate interest in pre-leasing apartments once construction begins.
The survey is open to anyone in the area and is part of the town’s efforts to ensure new housing meets local needs.
