Central Huron man charged with ATV theft

Huron County OPP has charged a 49-year-old Central Huron man after recovering a stolen ATV two weeks ago.

On September 10 around 7 p.m., OPP responded to a report of an ATV in the ditch near a trailer located on Burns Line.

According to police, attending officers found the ATV was reported stolen in April 2024.

A suspect was arrested at the scene. The man is facing charges for possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, altering a Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and two counts of failure to comply with probation.

The accused will appear in Goderich court in November to answer to charges.
