From parades and petting zoos to frog-jumping and live music, the Ripley Fall Fair is gearing up for a big weekend, September 26 and 27.
Agricultural Society Director Tracy Robinson said the fun starts Friday night with a mix of traditional fair favourites and new attractions.
"Visitors can enjoy the midway, laser combat, a frog-jumping contest, and the ambassador program," explained Robinson. "The evening will also feature a tractor pullback and refreshments."
Robinson pointed to a packed schedule on the Saturday of the fair as well.
"Saturday, everything starts off with different 4H shows. There'll be a Light Horse Show," she continued. "Then our great parade, with all the pipe band and all the community support. Then all the different things on the fairground. Paw Patrol will be hanging out, alpacas, petting zoos, pony rides, the local hockey teams are doing a puck shoot, and dunk tanks, the FMX shows all day, and then we finish up the evening with two live bands in the refreshments tent."
A sensory room staffed by Community Living will also be available in the arena, offering a quiet space for families.
