An investigation into a recent assault incident in Wingham has resulted in a man being charged.
According to Huron County OPP, on August 22, officers responded to a report of an assault on William Street in Wingham.
Police determined that a suspect has assaulted another person. The suspect was arrested and charged with assault.
The 39-year-old accused from North Huron was processed and later released from custody with a court date scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice in Goderich on September 29.
