OPP investigate failed carjacking in Saugeen First Nation

The Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police is looking for anyone with information on a reported attempted carjacking in Saugeen First Nation.

According to police, on September 7, 2025, around 5:30 p.m., a vehicle was approached by two unknown individuals near the intersection of Christine Street and Cameron Drive.

One suspect allegedly entered the front passenger side of the vehicle and brandished a knife, threatening the driver. The second suspect remained outside with a bicycle.

Police say the driver, who was alone in the vehicle, managed to physically remove the suspect and was not injured.

Both suspects are described as wearing all black clothing and ski masks. One left the area on foot, and the other rode off on a bicycle.

The incident is still under investigation.
