Hanover police say a Mississauga man has been charged after an overnight traffic stop uncovered a quantity of drugs.
At around 12:45 a.m. on Monday, officers stopped a vehicle on 10th Avenue. As police attempted to determine the driver's identity, he allegedly provided another name, impersonating someone from the GTA.
The man was arrested, and his rental vehicle was searched. Suspected cocaine and methamphetamine were seized with a total street value of $15,700. About $11,000 in cash was also confiscated.
The 26-year-old man is charged with personation, obstructing a peace officer, and two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell.
He is also charged with driving while suspended and refusal to identify.
The charges have not been proven in court. The suspect has been remanded into custody.
