A fiery two-vehicle crash in Port Elgin over the long weekend has left a 22-year-old man facing impaired driving charges.
Saugeen Shores police said the two vehicles collided on Goderich Street, where one caught fire, shortly after 9 p.m. on Sunday.
The people in one of the two vehicles suffered minor injuries. The driver of the other vehicle is alleged to have failed a roadside sobriety test and was taken to police headquarters for further testing.
On Tuesday, police announced a 22-year-old from Etobicoke has been charged with impaired driving and careless driving in relation to the crash. The man's license has also been suspended and his vehicle impounded, police said.
