Central Huron man arrested in sexual assault investigation

The Sarnia Police Service has identified a man in connection with an alleged sexual assault downtown.

Lucius Richard, 55, of Central Huron was arrested on Tuesday, September 2 just after 4:30 p.m. at his home and returned to Sarnia.

The investigation launched on August 24.

Police said a 16-year-old girl was walking to the library in the area of Veteran's Park mid-afternoon, when she was allegedly approached by a man who began complimenting her.

The man is accused of grabbing the victim, pulling her in close, and rubbing his genitals against her.

Police allege Richard also kissed the victim, and grabbed her buttocks and breasts.

He was charged with sexual assault and was held for bail.
