Charges laid in June crash that left motorcyclist seriously hurt

An Owen Sound man is facing charges in connection with a two-vehicle crash near Chatsworth earlier this summer that left a motorcyclist with serious injuries.

According to Grey Bruce OPP, a pickup truck and motorcycle collided on Concession 3A between Massie Road and Holland Sydenham Townline just after 10:30 a.m. on June 23. The motorcyclist was taken to hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

The truck driver was not seriously hurt.

Following an investigation, a 37-year-old Owen Sound man was arrested on August 12, police said. He is charged with dangerous driving causing bodily harm, careless driving causing bodily harm, and driving without insurance.

The man has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Owen Sound court in relation to the charges on September 25, police said.
