Baklava pastries, sold under the brand name Andalos, have been recalled as part of an investigation by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.
The CFIA recalled the Habibi brand Pistachio Kernel back in July after an outbreak of Salmonella infections. The agency didn't say how many illnesses were recorded. It's working with industry officials to verify recalled products are no longer being sold.
The latest recall involves Andalos Baklava rectangles, Andalos Baklava triangles, Andalos Baklava, and Andalos Baklava Catering Tray.
The impacted catering trays were sold between June 25, 2025, and July 26, 2025.

Recalled products should be thrown out or returned to the store for a refund.
Salmonella-contaminated food may not look or smell spoiled, but it can make consumers very ill. Young children, pregnant women, the elderly, and people with weakened immune systems are at greater risk.
Healthy people may experience short-term symptoms, like fever, headache, vomiting, nausea, abdominal cramps, and diarrhea. Long-term complications may include severe arthritis.
