Police investigating break-in at residence that turned violent

Grey Bruce OPP are investigating a break-in at a residence in Grey Highlands that saw one person assaulted.

In the early morning hours of August 11, police were contacted regarding a break-and-enter on Valley Crescent in the Municipality of Grey Highlands.

Between 4:10 and 4:20 a.m., two suspects broke into the residence and confronted the occupants before running off. One person was assaulted and suffered minor injuries.

Several things were taken during the altercation. A neighbour alerted police. Officers canvassed the neighbourhood for potential surveillance footage.

The investigation remains ongoing.

Police are asking residents in the area of Valley Crescent to check their security cameras or dash-cams for any suspicious activity between 4:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. on August 11.
