Grab your boots, baskets, and sense of adventure — Georgian Bluffs is inviting residents and visitors to its first-ever Farm Crawl on Saturday, August 23 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The self-guided, family-friendly driving tour offers a behind-the-scenes look at the township’s agricultural community, with stops ranging from fragrant lavender fields to playful goats, bison herds, homemade candles, and more.
“This is a celebration of local agriculture and the people who make it thrive,” organizers said. “From fragrant lavender fields to playful goats, and bison herds to homemade candles, the Farm Crawl showcases the variety of food, products, and experiences our community has to offer.”
Participants can use the Interactive Farm Crawl Map and Farm Crawl Passport to explore at their own pace. Visitors who collect a hole punch at three or more stops will be entered to win a Bluffs Basket filled with local goodies. Passports can be printed at home or picked up at any participating location on the day of the event.
This year’s participating stops include:
Bluewater Lavender Farm – Five varieties of English and French lavender, handmade products, and optional farm tours.
Farm on the Lake – Meet, feed, and pet goats, including baby kids.
G.R.A.C.E. Riding – Tour therapeutic horseback riding facilities and meet therapy horses.
Snowy Creek Bison – See grass-fed Plains Bison and shop premium bison meat.
The Candle Barn – Hand-poured candles, wax melts, décor, and locally made fudge.
Barn on the Bluffs – Fresh produce, flowers, homemade baking, and farm-fresh eggs.
Outrange Homestead – Homemade preserves, jams, baked goods, goat milk lotion, and a lemonade stand.
Organizers say the Farm Crawl is an opportunity to “explore the Township’s rural roads, connect with local producers, and enjoy the variety of food, goods, and experiences that make Georgian Bluffs unique.”
