Bruce County wants to hear from its older residents to help develop its first Age-Friendly Communities Framework.
The county says the framework will aim to "create a roadmap of actionable strategies to create a community where our aging population can live well."
To do so, an online survey has been set up for residents who are 50-years-old and up, which can also be done by older resident's caregivers.
According to the county, an age friendly community is defined by the World Health Organization as a place where everyone, especially older adults, can "live safely in a place that suits their needs, maintain financial security, continue learning and growing and stay engaged in their communities, all while maintaining their independence, health and dignity."
The survey takes roughly 10 minutes and is open until September 15.
