Wiarton will hold another household hazardous waste drop-off event at the Town of South Bruce Peninsula Works Garage.
A media release from Bruce County shares that the latest drop-off will be on Saturday, July 26 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the public works garage at 441048 Elm Street in Wiarton.
Household hazardous waste materials include: paints and stains, propane tanks, used oil, aerosols, batteries, antifreeze, oil filters, solvents, household cleaners, fluorescent lights, fertilizers, fuel, pharmaceuticals, fire extinguishers, pesticides, and pool chemicals.
However, items like commercial waste, agricultural waste, industrial waste, PCB’s, ammunitions and flares are not accepted.
