The Township of Wellington North will be holding a public information session regarding the upcoming rehabilitation of Hwy 6.
The work will be done as a Connecting Link Rehabilitation Project on Hwy 6, Main Street in Mount Forest between Queen Street and Sligo Road.
Local residents, business owners, and stakeholders are invited to attend the information session on Wednesday, July 16 at the Mount Forest Fire Station from 5-7 p.m.
A media release from the township states that the session will be an open house format with contractor Cox Construction, consulting engineer B.M. Ross and Associates, and key Township staff members available to answer questions.
Work may begin as soon as July 21 with an expected completion date of October 3. Main Street will remain open at all times but there will be lane closures during parts of the work.

Additionally, the township shared that the cost of the project is $2,007,000 inclusive of net HST, with up to $1,486,539.90 being funded by the Province of Ontario through the 2025-26 Connecting Links Program.
