OPP investigating break-and-enter theft in Mount Forest

Wellington County OPP are hoping the public can help with tips regarding a recent break-and-enter theft in Mount Forest.

On June 25 at 7 a.m., officers were dispatched to a report of a break-and-enter theft which occurred at a local business on Main Street North with Mount Forest.

Police stated in a media release that earlier that same morning, around 12:30 a.m., an unknown suspect cut a hole through a wall of a business, granting access to the interior.

The suspect took cash from the register and an entire safe, before fleeing the scene in an unknown direction.

According to police, the suspect is believed to be male and was wearing all black with a dark coloured backpack.

Police are asking for any information, including security or dash-cam footage from the public. If you have any information, contact Wellington County OPP or Crime Stoppers.
