A local BBQ fundraiser in Listowel raised thousands for Cystic Fibrosis Canada.
Van Allen Insurance in Listowel hosted a now annual BBQ fundraiser for Cystic Fibrosis Canada on Tuesday, June 24 in the parking lot at the business.
The annual event was started back in 2013 after owners Shane and Sarah Van Allen's son, Wade, was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis.
At this year's event, Van Allen Insurance shared with CKNXNewsToday.ca that over $10,500 was raised.
The media release shared that the BBQ saw roughly 600 McIntosh Farms hamburgers, 150 hot dogs, 30 dozen Anna Mae's donuts and a couple hundred DQ Dilly bars served.
