Howick Township is changing garbage pick-up days from Wednesdays to Mondays.
According to the township, if you live west of McIntosh Line, your first new pickup on Mondays will begin July 7. If you live east of McIntosh Line, your new collection days begin on Monday, July 14. Collection will remain on a biweekly basis.
Due to the change, the Howick Landfill will now be open Mondays instead of Wednesdays.
The last Wednesday hours are July 2 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, July 7 will be the first Monday the Howick Landfill will be open.
A new curb-side collection schedule has been mailed to all homes and is available online at howick.ca.
