Another household hazardous waste drop-off coming for Bruce County residents

Bruce County residents will have another opportunity to drop off household hazardous waste at a collection drop-off in Lion's Head.

The county is inviting residents to bring household hazardous waste to its latest collection event on Saturday, July 5, 2025 at the Eastnor Landfill Site at 1252 West Road, Lion's Head, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Household hazardous waste materials include: paints and stains, propane tanks, used oil, aerosols, batteries, antifreeze, oil filters, solvents, household cleaners, fluorescent lights, fertilizers, fuel, pharmaceuticals, fire extinguishers, pesticides, and pool chemicals.

However, commercial waste, agricultural waste, industrial waste, PCB’s, ammunitions and flares are not accepted. 

Attendees at this event must remain in their vehicle and place waste for drop-off in an open trunk or truck bed for unloading by event staff.​
