Three people have been charged and more suspects are being sought in a weekend break-in at a downtown Owen Sound business.
Owen Sound police were called about a break-and enter at the unnamed store just after 6:30 a.m. on Sunday. When officers arrived they found the glass in the front door had been smashed and numerous items inside destroyed. Various merchandise, including a high-end electric bicycle, was stolen.
Investigators determined after the initial break-in, seven different people went inside and stole from the business.
A 33-year-old woman, a 55-year-old man, and a 38-year-old man, all of no fixed address, have been charged with breaking and entering to commit theft. The woman and the 38-year-old man face an additional charge of failing to comply with probation.
Police anticipate more arrests will be made and are encouraging the other people involved to turn themselves in.
