OPP arrest one man for multiple break-ins

One man is believed to be responsible for break-ins and thefts at a construction site near Grand Bend and a number of storage units in Lucknow.

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested a 40-year-old man from the Township of Huron-Kinloss in connection with the two incidents.

OPP said the first break-in was reported on February 14, 2025.

At the time, Huron County OPP officers were called to a construction site along B Line outside of Grand Bend. Investigators determined that numerous appliances and pieces of equipment were stolen.

On March 17, 2025, South Bruce OPP responded to the report of a break and enter to a series of storage units along Walter Street in Lucknow.

In that case, police found that electrical equipment had been stolen.

On Tuesday, police searched a storage facility in Goderich and reportedly recovered stolen items from the separate break-ins.

Following the search, the suspect was arrested and charged.

OPP confirmed that all the seized property has been returned to the rightful owners.
