Perth County launches 2025 Explore Brochure for Local Food Week

Perth County Tourism launched a new 2025 Explore Brochure to help celebrate Local Food Week, which runs from June 2 to June 8.

Ricky Zhao, Tourism Officer for Perth County, says the brochure is all about building awareness of the great local agricultural food producers around the area.

"This brochure really highlights our rural attractions and experiences and small town charms that we have. In the back it has this tear-away map where you can summarize all of our key assets into that one map and take that with you when you're road tripping across our county," Zhao shared.

The brochure features information on signature experiences like alpaca walks, farm-to-table dinner and much more.

Zhao says not only is the brochure great for locals, it's designed to help tourists from outside of the area find great local experiences within the county's rich agricultural industry.

"They really come here to explore what the animals do, eat and dine at a local farm and really get these hands-on experiences that they don't really have in the big cities," said Zhao.

In addition to the farm gate map and information on local food attractions, the brochure has loads of other tourist friendly suggestions, too.

"That map outlines all the farm gate stands that we have in the county. The brochure also has a bakery trail which also celebrates local foods and helps you see all the bakeries we have here. There's also the cycle routes, so you can tour our area through cycling," added Zhao.

The brochure can be accessed anytime at perthcounty.ca digitally. It is also now available at municipal offices, visitor centres, local businesses, and top tourism stops throughout Perth County.
