Two individuals and a team have been announced as the 2025 St. Marys Sports Wall of Fame inductees.
The Town of St. Marys says the new inductees will be celebrated in the fall at the Pyramid Recreation Centre.
Mike Craig, who had a lengthy pro hockey career, will be honoured on the sports wall. His 23-year pro career saw stops in the NHL, AHL, and numerous international leagues. Craig also won two World Junior Hockey gold medals for Canada.
Joining Craig is Rick Fifield, who was captain and MVP of the St. Marys Lincolns during the 1972–1973 season, playing a total of four seasons and amassing 405 points. Fifield was also an accomplished golfer, winning the Ontario Father/Son championship in 1999 with D. Fifield, the Ontario Father/Daughter championship in 2001 with K. Fifield, and the Ontario Senior Better Ball championship in 2012 with J. Craigmile.
Also being inducted as a team are the St. Marys Junior B Lincolns from the 1962-1963 season. That year, the Lincs won their first ever OHA Jr. B title.
The next call for Sports Wall of Fame nominations will start in April 2026. An announcement will be made when nominations open through the local media, social media, and Town website at www.townofstmarys.com/sportswall.
