Measles continues to spread in Midwestern Ontario

Public Health Ontario is reporting another spike in measles cases over the last week.

Another 182 cases were added in the province since May 8, for a total of 1,622.

Huron Perth had 17 of those new cases, for a total of 192 cases since the outbreak began.

There were five new cases in Grey Bruce, with a total of 40 cases in the region since last October

Across Ontario, data shows 88 per cent of the measles patients were unimmunized, and 119 were hospitalized due to the outbreak.
