Grey Bruce Public Health is trying to locate the owner of a dog that bit a woman in Grey Highlands on Sunday, May 11.
According to the Health Unit, between 1 and 3 p.m., a woman was approached and bitten by a dog at Rotary Park in Markdale.
The dog is described as being approximately 60 to 70 pounds, with long grey fur. The dog was unaccompanied at the park and did not have a collar.
Staff at Grey Bruce Public Health need to confirm the dog is not infectious with rabies, so the victim can avoid receiving the post-exposure rabies treatment.
