Meaford Scarecrow Invasion returning in 2025

The Meaford Scarecrow Invasion will return in 2025.

This year, the annual local event will have no theme, with a media release sharing that the scarecrows are the theme.

The scarecrow invasion will kick off just after Labour Day, with scarecrows on display until the end of October, weather permitting. The scarecrow invasion will lead into the Parade and Festival on Friday, October 3.

Organizers state in the media release that the parade itself will feature a theme, which will be announced at a later date.

The event is looking for volunteers, and there will be scarecrow workshops held at the Meaford Rotary Harbour Pavilion throughout June.

Those dates include:

-Tuesday, June 10 from 9 a.m.–12 p.m.

-Thursday, June 12 from 9 a.m.–12 p.m.

-Tuesday, June 17 from 9 a.m.–12 p.m.

-Thursday, June 19 from 9 a.m.–12 p.m.

Anyone interested in volunteering can reach out to Christine at cpompeo@scarecrowinvasion.com. The next meeting is May 15 at 5:30 p.m. at the Meaford Public Library.
