Hanover Police Chief Chris Knoll has received a King Charles III Coronation Medal.
Her Excellency the Right Honourable Mary Simon, Governor General of Canada, awarded Chief Knoll the medal, which was presented to him on May 22 by Hanover Police Service Board Chair, Selwyn Hicks.
Chief Knoll began as an Auxiliary Constable in Hanover in 1990 before attending the Ontario Police College in 1992 as a Police Constable.
He then joined the OPP and served in a number of different roles before returning to Hanover as an inspector in charge of operations in 2010.
In 2015, Knoll was named Hanover Police Chief by the Hanover Police Service Board and continues to serve in that role today.
Chief Knoll received a letter from Ontario Premier Doug Ford informing him of his award.
"On behalf of our community and the Hanover Police Service Board, we congratulate Chief Knoll on this well-earned recognition and thank him for his many years of dedicated public service and commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of others," said Selwyn Hicks.
