Bayshore Community Centre walking track to close for summer

The walking track at the Bayshore Community Centre will be closed to the public starting April 25, 2025, as part of a series of capital upgrades to the facility.

The closure is expected to last until early September. The closure will allow for major work to be completed, including the replacement of the arena slab floor, arena boards, and safety netting, as well as the repainting of the upper concourse and washrooms.

Despite the walking track being off-limits, the main floor washrooms will remain open Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and community hall rentals will continue as scheduled.

The Owen Sound Attack box office and merchandise store will also stay open throughout the summer construction period, operating Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

These upgrades are part of the Bayshore Community Centre’s five-year capital plan, which aims to modernize aging infrastructure, enhance safety, and improve the overall user experience for residents and visitors alike.
