Minto wins Award of Excellence in Business Retention, Recruitment and Expansion

The Town of Minto won a prestigious award at the recent Ontario Business Improvement Area Association (OBIAA) Awards.

An awards ceremony was held on March 31 in Collingwood. The Town of Minto received an Award of Excellence in Business Retention, Recruitment & Expansion for its Move to Minto Business Attraction Campaign.

That project aimed to "inspire families, businesses, and retirees to make the move to Minto to help revitalize our downtowns, and included virtual property renderings and window stickers, a business attraction video, investment packages, Tour the Town Property Open House, and more, to showcase 11 properties in Harriston, Clifford, and Palmerston," according to a media release from the Town of Minto.

Ultimately the project resulted in six downtown units being leased or sold as a result of the campaign.

Earlier this year the project was also recognized by the Economic Developers Councils of Ontario for Business Attraction and Retention.
