Community-designed mural to celebrate Chesley's 145th anniversary

A new mural is set to brighten up Chesley in celebration of the town's 145th anniversary, and the community itself will create this work of art.

The Municipality of Arran-Elderslie, the Chesley Kinsmen Club, and the Community Foundation Grey Bruce are teaming up to bring the mosaic mural to life.

Residents are encouraged to submit high-resolution images of original photographs or artwork that capture the spirit of Chesley. Submissions should reflect the town's landmarks, history, nature, events, or traditions. The deadline for submissions is April 15, 2025. Images containing identifiable people will not be accepted.

The completed mural will be unveiled ahead of Chesley's Homecoming Celebrations, from July 31 to August 3, 2025.

Participants can submit images online through the municipality’s website at www.arran-elderslie.ca or drop off printed images at the Municipal Office using the after-hours drop box.
