The Listowel Memorial Hospital has received a donation to help bring a new mammography unit to the hospital.
A donation of of $205,000 by Stratford-based Strong Roots Insurance Brokers will help establish the new mammography unit.
The donation will also "support renovations to improve access and patient experience through the hospital’s breast screening program," according to a media release.

The new mammography unit means better care, close to home for our patients. We’re incredibly grateful to Strong Roots Insurance Brokers for investing in this important work," said Esther Millar, President and CEO of the Listowel Wingham Hospitals Alliance.
"At Strong Roots Insurance Brokers, we know that strong communities, like strong roots, need a solid foundation to thrive. Access to high-quality healthcare is a key part of that foundation, and we’re proud to support the new mammography unit at Listowel Memorial Hospital. This investment ensures that people in our community can receive life-saving screenings close to home, strengthening the health and well-being of the region for years to come," added Strong Roots Principal Broker and COO Shara Bierman.
