A volunteer who has put in over 700 hours of service at the Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre has received a King Charles III Coronation Medal.
Muriel Shular was awarded the medal which is given to individuals across Canada who have made meaningful contributions to their communities.
Shular has been an integral part of the Museum’s volunteer team from assisting with children’s programs and special events to providing invaluable support for administrative and outreach initiatives.
"Muriel’s unwavering commitment to volunteering, her ability to engage and inspire others, and her passion for supporting our mission make her truly deserving of this honour," says Museum Director Cathy McGirr. "We are thrilled to see her receive this well-earned recognition."
According to the Museum, Shular has been a passionate advocate for the volunteer program, actively encouraging others to get involved and promoting its initiatives throughout the community.
The award will be formally presented on to Shular at the Bruce County Council meeting on Thursday, March 20.
