Ontarians who have decided who they are voting for in the provincial election can now cast their ballot.
Advance polling stations opened across the province Thursday morning. They will be open from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. each day Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
“You can use the Elections Ontario app to find your advance voting locations and get a scannable version of your voter information card—one of the many ways we are working to make voting easier," Greg Essensa, Ontario's chief electoral officer, said in a statement.
Voters who have received their voter information card are reminded to bring it with them when they go to vote. Otherwise, they will need to bring one piece of identification that shows their name and residential address. A list of accepted ID can be found at elections.on.ca.

Early voting has seen a rise in popularity over the past few elections.
In 2022, more than 1 million eligible voters in Ontario cast their ballot during the advance voting period. However, numbers could be lower this time around, as there are fewer advance voting days available. The 2025 snap election only offers the three advance voting days, down from the usual ten days. There is an option to vote by mail. Those interested in casting a ballot that way must submit their application by 6 p.m. on Friday. Applications can be downloaded at elections.on.ca.
Election day in Ontario is from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on February 27.
