A debate around healthcare is being held for candidates vying to be the next Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) for Huron-Bruce.
The Grey Bruce Health Coalition is holding the event Wednesday evening at Walkerton's Jubilee Hall.
So far, three of the six candidates have confirmed they'll be in attendance. This includes Ian Burbidge, Ontario Liberal Party; Nick McGregor, Ontario NDP; and Matthew Van Ankum, Green Party of Ontario.
Current MPP Lisa Thompson has already told the coalition she won't be in attendance due to a prior commitment.
Bruce Eisen with Alliance and Zack Weiler with the New Blue Party have not confirmed whether they'll take part in the debate.
"The evening will start with a short greeting from the municipality followed by brief opening remarks from the moderator and the candidates. We will then be accepting questions, and each candidate will have an opportunity to answer. We encourage questions about Healthcare, but we will not accept questions about topics that do not fall under provincial jurisdiction, and we will try to limit duplications in the interest of timing," read a statement from the coalition.
The debate is scheduled to take place from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
