Town of Minto wins EDCO award

The Town of Minto has won a prestigious Economic Developers Council of Ontario award.

At the February 6 awards dinner and ceremony, Minto was awarded the Business Attraction and Retention Award for the Move to Minto: Business Attraction Campaign.

The award was for a rural community with under 100,000 population. The Move to Minto project was "aimed to inspire families, businesses, and retirees to make the move to Minto to help revitalize our downtowns, and included virtual property renderings and window stickers, a business attraction video, investment packages, Tour the Town Property Open House, and more, to showcase 11 properties in Harriston, Clifford, and Palmerston," according to a release from the Town of Minto.

In all, the project resulted in 6 downtown units being leased by businesses.
