Business to Bruce, in collaboration with the Province of Ontario, has officially launched the Side Gig Program to help individuals transform their passions and skills into profitable side businesses.
The innovative program provides aspiring entrepreneurs in Bruce County with essential training, resources, and support to start or grow part-time businesses. Leveraging the expertise of Fanshawe College, the program delivers high-quality training that combines practical skills with entrepreneurial knowledge. Participants will receive expert-led instruction on key topics such as brand building, customer development, and business administration. Additionally, the program offers one-on-one coaching and continued support through Business to Bruce.
“We are pleased to launch this new program that empowers individuals to transform their ideas into viable businesses,” said Jeffrey Loney, Manager of Economic Development at Bruce County. “Whether it is launching an online store, starting a service-based business, or monetizing a creative skill, the Side Gig Program will help provide the tools and guidance to make it happen.”
The program is tailored to meet the needs of modern entrepreneurs who are balancing full-time work with business ambitions. Beyond business fundamentals, it emphasizes community-building by connecting participants with like-minded individuals and local resources to foster collaboration and long-term growth.
