Two men are facing drug trafficking charges after police raids at two properties in Huron and Middlesex counties turned up nearly $44,000 in cocaine and opioids.
OPP searched one home on Victoria Street West in Exeter and another on William Street in Lucan on January 14 as part of an ongoing investigation.
In addition to the drugs, officers seized $16,290 in Canadian currency and $170 in U.S. currency, as well as $2,100 worth of offence-related property.
A 46-year-old man from South Huron and a 40-year-old man from Lucan-Biddulph Township are charged with one count each of possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking.
The 46-year-old has been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for February 24. The 40-year-old man has been remanded into custody.
