One person charged following theft of e-bike

Huron County OPP arrested and charged one person following the theft of an e-bike.

On January 11 just after 6 p.m., police were contacted by someone who claimed that their e-bike had just been stolen. The owner followed the bicycle tracks in the snow and located the bicycle and alleged suspect, who took off running.

The bicycle was recovered by the owner. The suspect was identified and arrested soon after the incident.

As a result, a 32-year-old from Huron East has been charged with theft under $5,000.

The accused was processed and later released from custody with a court appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice in Goderich on February 3, 2025.
