An early morning incident brought an increased police presence to the Township of Georgian Bluffs.
Grey Bruce OPP said Thursday morning that officers were on scene in Sussex Square for the ongoing investigation.
Area residents were asked to avoid Sussex Square while police were on scene.
The Grey Bruce OPP confirmed via "X", formerly Twitter, at 1:15 p.m. that the incident was resolved and police were pulling resources from the area.
Police later confirmed that the incident involved a barricaded person in Sussex Square. Officers first responded to the scene just before 6 a.m. The individual initially refused to come out, but they were later taken into custody without incident. No injuries were reported.
No charges have been laid following the resolution of the incident. The name of the individual is not being released due to concerns for their wellbeing. Police also stress that there was no threat to public safety.
