A charge of second-degree murder has been laid in the fatal stabbing of a 35-year-old man in Durham.
West Grey police were called to an undisclosed location in the town on Saturday where officers found a man suffering from a stab wound.
The man, identified only as a 35-year-old from West Grey, was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Another man was taken into custody immediately following the stabbing.
On Sunday, police announced a second-degree murder charge against 36-year-old Scott Timbers of Thornton, Ontario. He remains in police custody and is scheduled to appear in Walkerton court in relation to the charge.
Investigators with the police service's criminal investigations branch continue to probe the homicide.
"This is an open and ongoing investigation," police said in a statement.
