BlackburnNews.com photoPolice have charged an 18-year-old from Mapleton following an assault investigation.
On December 18 at 6:30 p.m., Wellington County OPP officers responded to a report of an alleged assault at Lions Park in Palmerston.
As a result of the investigation, police arrested and charged an 18-year-old suspect with assault with a weapon.
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Guelph, on January 25, 2025.
Alan Smith will begin his new role with the municipality on July 20.
