Wellington County OPP are continuing to investigate a suspected arson that occurred in Palmerston.
At 3 p.m. on December 14, police and local fire services responded to a report of a small fire at the Lions Heritage Park within Palmerston. One of the wooden train cars was on fire.
There were no injuries as a result of the fire and the cost of the damage is unknown at this time.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, and the Wellington County Major Crime Unit has now taken over the investigation.
Police are looking for anyone who resides in the immediate area to check their video surveillance footage for any suspicious activity or suspects that may have been captured between 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on December 14, 2024.
