Stratford school benefits from parts donations from Ford Canada

A local school's automotive program benefitted from donations from Ford Canada this year.

Stratford District Secondary School was among over 40 schools around the province that received auto parts donations for the automotive service training programs in the school.

Vehicle parts such as engines, transmissions, turbochargers and more were part of the donations received provincially.

The Automotive Career Exploration (ACE) program is part of a nationwide initiative for Ford of Canada, in partnership with Ford dealerships and secondary and post-secondary institutions, that "aims to raise awareness and increase interest in career opportunities within the trade and automotive industry," according to a release.

The program has run since 2019, and Ford Canada provides no-cost online training through the program for students.
