Around 1:45 p.m., police received a report of an unwanted person at an address along John Street.
According to OPP, an individual brandished an edged weapon during an altercation and fled before police arrived on scene.
A suspect was later located and arrested without incident.
The accused is set to appear in the Walkerton Court next month to answer to the charge.

The arrest Monday morning was part of an ongoing investigation, South Bruce OPP said.
A passerby reported the incident to Hanover police who were able to quickly make an arrest on Sunday.
