In an effort to make sure no one goes hungry in Bruce County this holiday season, local paramedics will be hosting three stuff-the-ambulance events this month.
The first of the three food drives by Bruce County Paramedic Services and their local 911 emergency service partners will be held at the Wiarton Foodland from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. this Saturday. The next two events will be held the following weekend with paramedics collecting food donations at the Kincardine Sobeys and the Kincardine No Frills from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on December 15.
“Thank you for joining our first responders in supporting the local food banks this holiday season,” Bruce County Warden Chris Peabody said in a statement issued on Tuesday. “Your generous contributions to this meaningful cause will support families in need in our communities.”
All of the donations made over the three days will be given to local food banks.
