Humane Society launches Hope for the Holidays campaign

As the holiday season approaches, the KWSP Humane Society is spreading hope with its annual “Hope for the Holidays” campaign. This major fundraising initiative aims to ensure that vulnerable animals in Kitchener, Waterloo, Stratford, and Perth, receive the care and second chances they deserve.

The Humane Society is encouraging the community to get involved in a variety of ways.

For those looking to help, you can make a one-time or monthly donation, volunteer, contribute supplies from the Humane Society’s wish list, or even host a fundraiser. Due to the ongoing Canada Post strike, organizers are asking for donations to be made online at kwsphumane.ca to ensure they reach animals in need quickly.

The campaign highlights stories like Honey, a dog rescued with severe injuries and now thriving in her forever home, and Roza, a six-month-old puppy recovering from a femoral fracture thanks to donor support.

“This time of year is about hope and giving, and at the KWSP Humane Society, hope means providing a second chance to every animal in need,” said Victoria Baby, CEO of the KWSP Humane Society. “Every donation, no matter the size, helps transform lives—like Roza, a six-month-old puppy recovering from a femoral fracture in foster care. Your support ensures that animals like Roza receive the care and love they deserve.”

The KWSP Humane Society helps thousands of animals each year through rescue and rehabilitation.
