Fire caused what has been described as "significant" damage to a home south of Sauble Beach.
Saugeen First Nation firefighters, along with members of the Sauble Beach Firefighters Association, were called to the home in the area of Southampton Parkway/Bruce Road 13 and Edison Circle around 11:40 p.m. Wednesday.
When they arrived, flames were visible and thick smoke was coming from the home with a large portion already destroyed.
"Although significant damages occurred, the prompt response of our local volunteer fire services, working in tandem, quickly controlled the fire spread and reduced further damage or spread," Saugeen Fire and Emergency Services said in a post to social media. "Thank you to all attending members for their dedication to fire protection in the area."
No one was hurt in the blaze and no details about the possible cause have been released.
Fire officials did use the blaze as an opportunity to remind homeowners to do pre-winter home safety checks.
"Be sure to perform maintenance and check all heating devices and appliances as necessary as the temperatures continue to drop," said Saugeen Fire and Emergency Services.
A damage estimate for the house fire has not yet been determined.
